Evaluation- Question Four

Who would be the audience for your media production?

Whilst discussing in our group and using our target audience research we decided to set the certificate for our film at 15+ this is due to the scariness of our film and we thought that this age would be appropriate for our viewers.

Due to our film not having any swearing or graphic scenes we decided that our age range is appropriate as it if we did have graphic scenes or swearing we would have to increase our age range which would mean that our target audience would become a niche audience.

The gender of our target audience will most likely be males due to our target audience research which told us that more males watch thrillers more than females do, however females are more than welcome to watch our thriller. 

Another reason why our target audience is males is because we used the typical stereotypes which will make our target audience want to watch it such as gender, age and ethnicity which is shown throughout the scenes. 

If we were to keep making the rest of the film we would make it so that the male would save the female in trouble which would adhere to the typical conventions of a thriller, also we may decide to add in a few female characters into our film which will attract the female gender to come and watch therefore making our target audience a mass audience due.
